Head of the veterinary sales department
We are a distribution company of veterinary products. We import the veterinary products form foreign distributors and sell them in the Russian market.
My duties as the head of the veterinary sales department are:
Gathering data on the existing clientele: their livestock or poultry numbers, veterinary products that they buy periodically, identifying the people in charge of making key purchase decisions.
Overseeing the work of our sales managers via by-monthly reports and offer insight on work progress
Achieving the yearly sales business plan through collective team- work.
Constant communication with our suppliers, ordering goods based on the purchase plan included in the yearly business plan, negotiating transportation routes and costs to Russia since it greatly affects the unit cost price. This has improved my logistics skills regarding the import of veterinary goods.
Studying various options to increase the sales each year, whether it is by adding more items to the portfolio or by hiring managers in new regions
Searching for candidates (via official websites) and conducting interviews to determine the most adequate person for the job.
Learning how to work according to the local laws by constantly consulting with our staff: company lawyer, financial advisor, logistics team, accountants, warehouse keepers, registration specialists, IT managers and the general director

The ideology of the Centre is the welfare of the Houbara Bustard birds. Since the bird is an endangered species, they aimed to increase their population in their natural habitat.
Our duties were:
Increase the numbers of released birds each year onto the desert. This can only be achieved through hard teamwork throughout the mating season, which usually starts in February each year. We had to be able to collect the semen form males, analyze the semen’s quality and quantity, distribute the semen in a way to eliminate any crossbreeding, inseminate the females no less than 72 hours before the females laid their eggs and finally incubate the eggs.
Chick rearing: That was the field I was in charge of during the season. The chicks had to be handled correctly after hatching onto their new cages. There was constant supervision to organize the feeding of the chicks, train the staff on the correct way to feed or handle the chicks. At an age of 4-6 weeks they were transferred to the juveniles’ area where they were kept until the release date
The adult birds were checked daily via morning rounds. Our clinics were equipped with gas anaesthesia machines, digital-portable x-ray machines and the usual surgical instruments. All the cases were documented and each case had a chart of its own.
Biosecurity was our most important rule. No one entered without taking a proper shower and changing clothes

A sheep farm owned by the Jordanian military aimed at bringing profit to the military from selling dairy products and meat. My work there by far increased my experience in Ovine field medicine. I learned the right and most successful vaccination program for diseases such as: Brucellosis, Anthrax, Salmonellosis, Pasteurellosis, E.Coli, PPR, sheep pox, Enterotoxemia, and FMD. Furthermore, I have learned the healthy regime of feeding in order to reduce food-related diseases like Enterotoxemia. Along the way, working there has given me a good experience in communicating with workers and the ability to organize their work to achieve better results. After all, we lived and slept there for the bigger part of the week.

Veterinary doctor
This NGO establishment aimed to aid the animals (especially Equine) whose owners could not afford treatment elsewhere. The work included dealing with stray animals, controlling their population (castrating and spaying), and help providing foster homes for them afterwards. We, as veterinarians there, also shared the responsibility of enlightening the owners about the best conditions of raising animals; whether it is the appropriate type of food or the correct vaccination program. In addition, we were required to teach the veterinarians-trainees and students on how to deal with feral animals, restrain them, establishing the right diagnosis, administering the medication correctly, and the safe approach for all kinds of patients
